Here, participants will be given an overview of a working orchard.
There will be dialogue around the question of "How does an apple end up in a grocery store?"
The individual apple's journey from tree branch to grocery store shelf will be the focus of this tour.

During this tour, participants will discover how much math lies within an orchard.
Through hands-on activities, participants will discover and better be able to understand how big an acre is, along with other math-related ideas an orchardist needs to know when running and managing an orchard.

Participants will learn about the different stages of bud and fruit development:
silver tip, green tip, half-inch green, tight clusters, pink, full bloom, and fruit maturation.
We will also discuss how cross-pollination works and the role weather plays
in the life of a developing apple: wind, rain, hail, and heat.

What does it take to be an orchardist? What does one need to know in order to run an orchard effectively?
During this tour, participants will look at an orchard from a business person’s point of view.
